If you’re learning about the ergonomic chairs now, this Autonomous Ergochair 2 review of FittingChairs has all the info you need to make the right choice in the end.
Autonomous Ergochair 2 Review Snapshot
ErgoChair 2 is one of the best ergonomic office chairs for sale from Autonomous, fully-customizable, and designed to provide back support, prevent back pain and improve sitting posture.
Autonomous Ergochair 2
The Autonomous ErgoChair 2 is a fantastic chair that has made working and playing games in your home office much more comfortably, so you can choose the one that best fits your aesthetic.
Autonomous Ergochair 2 Review: What’s Special About Its Design?
From a design sense, this Autonomous chair Ergochair 2 review evaluating the contribution from Autonomous at this pricing point is extremely impressive.
Color Options
The ErgoChair 2 is available in color combinations to serve as a basic office chair in all black, gray/white, or black/white, or the more bright red, green, or blue seat cushions.
Materials
At its pricing range, the ErgoChair 2 doesn’t come with a lot of high-end materials.
The majority of the ErgoChair’s construction consists of a nylon plastic frame that appears solid enough to support you.
However, plastic and polyester can raise some minor build-quality worries, which aren’t helped by the seat’s tiny wobble on its base.
The backrest is made of mesh, but there are no metal components or faux leather. This upholstery feels wonderful, like sitting on a warm but airy quilt.
Chair Base
The base begins with the same five-spoke configuration, each having its own wheel for mobility.
There is a telescoping rod connecting the seat to the wheelbase and may be adjusted to fit the height of your desk.
It has a 350 lbs weight capacity, so it can carry practically all of us. That’s why this chair is so ideal that FittingChairs want to show it in this ErgoChair 2 review.
This chair suits anyone in the 5-foot range comfortably, and it could even support someone as tall as 6-feet.
Autonomous Ergochair 2 Review: How Can It Help You Improve Your Health?
Frankly speaking, this Autonomous ErgoChair 2 review will point out the biggest strength is the extensive list of adjustments available. This is how it helps your health.
With all the characteristics of a chair with such many levers and paddles like ErgoChair 2, you will definitely feel comfortable over time.
By its nature, the Autonomous ErgoChair 2 is a flexible ergonomic office chair. Following that, a number of elements of the chair can adjust to match your body in order to create optimal ergonomics.
The ErgoChair 2 includes a seat with tilt, depth, and height adjustable features. The backrest may be adjusted in angle and reclines.
Specifically, the Autonomous Ergochair 2 review also want to show this office chair has height, front-to-back, side-to-side, and angle adjustments are also available on the arm rests or collectively known as 4D adjustment.
There’s a lumbar support and an adjustable headrest, both of which may move vertically and support slightly varying angles.
Headrest
The headrest is the first function this Autonomous ErgoChair 2 review wants to mention, and it could be the item to relieve your neck pain if you have to spend a lot of time in front of the computer.
Its headrest is wide and ideally curved to cradle the cervical spine. Both its angles may both be adjusted vertically.
Of course, it’s not random why this Autonomous ErgoChair 2 review highly recommends its headrest much like that.
By angling the headrest down, you effectively increase its depth, providing additional support for your neck where a shallow headrest may be unable to reach in this position.
With this Autonomous Ergo chair, it’s a great feeling to be able to work upright with the knowledge that someone is supporting your head.
From the base of the backrest to the peak of the headpiece, it measures 31.5′′. Hence, this qualifies the ErgoChair’s headrest as being best suited for those under 6’1′′.
Back Support
It comes with the highly breathable mesh material and a profusion of other possible adjustments, more than a normal backrest could accomplish.
Its backrest is also highly adjustable to different sitting positions.
The Italian-designed tilt mechanism, which operates independently from the recline mechanism, allows the backrest to tilt or rock an extra 10 degrees at any locked angle.
So, just recline the backrest to a 20-degree angle and lock it anywhere in between to work in a more back-relaxing position.
Lumbar Support
In the backrest, there’s a lumbar support that’s a standard size and does a good job of cushioning your lower back.
It can move up about 3 inches between your tailbone and the small of your back.
The innovative adjustable lumbar system uses a simple handle to unlock the exact amount of pressure to help you maintain a healthy, pain-free posture regardless of your body type.
Of course, it’s a critical aspect in keeping your back healthy and safe.
Forward Tilt and Seat Slide
The seat sliding and forward tilting functions round out the list of handy changes.
The new Italian tilt mechanism has various levers that allow you to customize the ErgoChair’s support and resistance to your specific needs.
The seat depth of Autonomous ErgoChair 2 is 20 inches by fixed, but it may be adjusted to 2 inches by sliding the seat forward and pulling the paddle down a little.
Seat slide increases your sitting area when your back isn’t flat against the backrest, such as when you’re leaning forward.
While all of that flexibility aids in the quest for a comfortable setting, there are a few components of the chair that don’t make the same effort.
The seat cushion is not very dense so it may be just sufficient for users weighing less than 200 pounds.

Written by Frederick T Pointer, “I LOVE THIS CHAIR”
“Okay…. so I’m a wannabe gamer. I spent a lot of time at my computer when I’m not working. I’ve been through about three different gaming chairs in the last five years. This is not necessarily a gaming chair, however, it is the MOST comfortable office/gaming chair I have ever owned. It’s ridiculous all the whistles and bells that this chair has. I often use a joystick and throttle with my games. I’m also in a tight space and always found it difficult to get comfortable in other chairs. With the adjustable height forms, I have found this charitable be the perfect fit for cockpit simulation. It’s very sturdy and it was very easy to put together. I love the back and neck support. If I could afford them I will get many more to outfit my living room opposed to standard couches and loveseats. I don’t care who you are and what you do, this chair can be tailored to fit anyone’s needs with all the different adjustments. I am truly amazed. It was well worth every penny and then some because I got a deal.”

“This is by far the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. I totally LOVE this chair!!!! If I were to give any constructive criticism it would be purely aesthetic and given the alternative of an uncomfortable chair- who cares!!!! LOL That said, pick a color- it doesn’t make sense to have a light blue seat, cream arms and back of chair with grey making up everything else. It just looks silly.”

Written by Nick, “Hard chair, terrible armrests, no communication from seller, price changes all the time, sus”
“When I ordered this chair, I decided to read more reviews about it just to be sure. I really didn’t like what I found. I contacted the seller and tried to cancel the order within a few hours of placing it, but I never got a response. Amazon said it would auto-cancel within a few days, but that also did not happen. About 4 days later the chair showed up even though Amazon hadn’t marked it as shipped yet! Also the chair fluctuates between 350 and 550 dollars all the time.
So this giant 65 lb box shows up and trying to return it would be a huge hassle during this pandemic (considering amazon didn’t even mark it as shipped until 12 days past when it arrived.) I decided to just give it a shot despite all the other bad reviews out there.
To be fair, this chair has a lot of the adjustments available on much more expensive chairs. I didn’t think the materials were low quality like some of the other low star reviews. The plastic underside is a nice touch that none of my cheap chairs had. The chair is definitely attractive and unique. It’s one of the few ever that had a headrest that reached my head (I’m 6′ 1″) It was also very easy to assemble and came with extra parts and a good allen wrench.
HOWEVER, this chair has virtually no padding in the seat. It is like sitting on a board. I had to get a chair cushion just to bear sitting on it, which is super frustrating because the chair has a slight forward tilt at all times (even when the lever is set to be rigid) and cushions tend to wander forward.
The armrests are extremely wobbly and loose, they also squeak all the time. They are super hard and I needed covers for those also. If I was a streamer or something this would drive me insane.
I think if this chair was $200 I’d think it was fair. As it stands, it’s not bad enough to throw out but it’s not as good as other cheaper chairs. It’s still better than my old gaming chair though so I’ll use it for now.
Do your research on this brand.”
Show more +Other customer Thomas Greenway on Amazon ranked 1 star for this chair “Poor quality not worth it”
“This chair was ok at first did a lot of things I wanted however theres a ton of drawbacks. First the lumbar support didn’t move low enough to fit into the concave of my back which causes back pain from prolonged use. The seat tilt isn’t very configurable you’re either sitting in the seat or nearly sliding off it. The biggest issue ive noticed is the lock for the tilt of the back rest doesn’t support any weight at all I weigh around 150 – 170 lbs and used the chair reclined frequently and now the lock doesn’t work anymore causing it to constantly lean back leading to no back support. If you plan to use the reclining feature always unlock the tilt angle lock.”
Show more +Should You Buy The Autonomous Ergochair 2?
Yes, if you’ve been looking for a chair that adjusts to fit you properly, this chair is a good option. If you’re over 200 pounds, however, you’ll need to add more cushions.
Having said that in the Autonomous Ergochair 2 review, this chair isn’t perfect.
While it’s reasonably priced for an ergonomic chair with so many adjustment options, and even if it doesn’t come with cushions, it’s not a plus for price.
The additional cost of cushions wouldn’t put it in the same price range as some of the more well-known office furniture.
