Comfort
The first thing to consider in this X-Chair X3 review is the chair comfort. The X-Chair X3 is excellently comfortable thanks to its build quality and the adjustability.
While sitting in it, you won’t feel like sitting in an office chair and will find that you can’t get out because of how comfortable you are.
One of the big points here is the Dynamic variable lumbar support. It’s basically a tension mechanism at the point of your lower back.

SciFloat infinite recline

I purchased an X3 with foam seat but without the headrest for my home office about 9 months ago. I know from experience that chairs and couches work out best when you can sit in it for a while. These days that is not always an option. I use the chair for maybe 3 hours at a time and it is comfortable and the memory foam seat was an excellent choice. After a few months I unexpectedly received a box from XChair containing five blade wheels. What a difference. I glide over to the the printer effortlessly. Works great for me and exceeded my expectations.

I bought this chair for my husband as his Christmas gift. The assembling service is free with this chair. The gentlemen did excellent job. The pink blue color is light up his office. My husband tried it on and immediately was falling in love. When the gentleman finished all the work and cleaned up all the empty boxes. I told him that maybe we should save the boxes just in case my husband may want to return it later. Guess what? My husband said: I like it so much, I don’t want to return it. Ha ha…… That can explain how much my husband loves this chair, beautiful color and extremely comfortable.

Steven Ewald: “Don’t buy if you don’t need excessive lumbar support.”
I’m 17 with a decent back, I don’t really need lumbar support. For that reason, I expected that it would be great, considering the lumbar support is supposed to be “dynamic” and move with you. While it certainly delivered on that, it is so strong that I got back pain after sitting in it for 30mins.
Do you know how badly a chair has to be designed to give back pain to a 17 year old with no previous back issues? I’ve sat in wood dining chairs. Cheap office chairs. All-plastic lawn chairs. All-wood chairs with straight backs. Metal school chairs. On the lawn leaning my back against a tree stump. And yet, I’ve never dealt with back pain until I tried this chair.
Their “dynamic” lumbar support, ironically is not adjustable. It has one strength setting. This means that I either sat straight up, in my usual position, with the lumbar support trying to push me out of the chair, or I slouched forward, which gave me back pain because my spine was curved forward.
Bottom line? Don’t just sit in this chair before you buy it, see if you can sit in it for an hour or more before purchasing. It felt comfortable when I tried it at the dealer. Fast forward two hours after getting it in the mail and I’m feeling back pain while sitting for the first time in my life.

This company has a GREAT advertising campaign….we bought 3 chairs ! Unfortunately, they are no better than a $169 office chair you get get at any big box store. We were all disappointed.
