So what’s the different between ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan? Read on to find out!
ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab – What’s the difference?
Here are what make the Autonomous Ergochair 2 vs Secretlab Titan different:
Weight capacity
As far as the ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan comparison goes, the Autonomous ErgoChair 2 comes out on top here.
The chair capacity matters, as it indicates the limits on who can buy and comfortably use it.
The Titan can handle up to 290 pounds, while the ErgoChair 2 can handle up to 350 pounds.
There is almost no comparison where the capacity is concerned, as the Autonomous ErgoChair 2 can better support those on the heavier side of the spectrum.
Material
Another area of focus in the ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan battle is the material.
The Titan’s base is made of high strength aluminum reinforced with ribs and gussets.
The gas lift consists of a class 4 heavy duty KGS cylinder. The switches on the armrests are made of stainless steel to ensure they don’t snap off over time.
Even the default PU leather upholstry feels premium and non plasticky, and apparently is 4x more resistant to peeling compared to regular PU leather.
However, the design does not prevent you from getting hot and sweaty as you work.
Mesh designs were created to prevent this problem, and the Autonomous ErgoChair 2 is well designed in this regard.
It uses Korean mesh backing, which not only allows for better breathability and cooling, but it also has a subtle stretch which reinforces the cradling effect that the chair has when you lean back.
Height support
Just as weight support is, it’s also important that office chairs support people of different heights. And this is the next difference between ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan.
While shorter persons tend to have less of a struggle with this one, those who are a bit taller than average have a harder time finding a chair that supports them.
There are a few important factors that all persons must consider, including your leg and back length.
For ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan chair, neither of the two chair options is built to support extremely tall persons.
Both chairs support persons with an average to just above average leg length. However, the difference comes in the backrest.
While the ErgoChair 2 has a back height of 22″, the Secretlab Titan has a 33-inch back height. Therefore, it’s better suited to those with longer torsos.
Note that Secretlab states that their chair is most comfortable for those who are 5’11” or under. Of course, if you are a much taller person, then you may want to look for something else overall.
Lumbar support
The ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan battle would not be complete without focusing on lumbar support.
The Autonomous ErgoChair 2 has a design that perfectly aligns with the contour of the spine to keep all the vertebrae in a neutral position.
It has an adjustable lumbar pad that feels really good on the lower back. It reclines and has a counterbalance adjustment that helps keep the back from reclining too far to fast and stays in position in when reclined.
Additionally, apart from the positional and tilt adjustments, the ErgoChair 2 allows you to adjust the tension, which makes for the most comfortable office experience.
The SecretLab Titan, on the other hand, is built into the backrest, with a knob that lets you control its depth.
This one actually works fairly well. At its maximum setting, there is a sizable bulge that cradles my entire lower back to offer decent lumbar support.
Having said that, it may still not be pronounced enough for some people. It would have been good if Secretlab also included an external lumbar pillow to cover the gamete.
Armrests
The next point in the ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan differences is the armrests.
On the ErgoChair 2, the armrest has a strange design. They are wide and slightly concave in the middle. This shape adds edges that are somewhat uncomfortable if your arms are not directly in the center of the armrest.
They have three different adjustments. Up and down, side to side, and can be slightly turned in. The height adjustment is performed with a lever on the outside of the armrest.
The other adjustments are simply made by pushing the armrest into place.
As for the Secrectlab Titan, it has the thick 4D armrests with a rubber exterior that’s firm but still light years ahead of plastic armrests in comfort.
What you’ll appreciate the most is their ability to move in all directions, including being width adjustable.
This means whether you’re typing, reclined back, or have narrow shoulders, the armrests can be adjusted to meet you exactly where your arms are.
Adjustability
And finally, adjustability is the last thing that makes the ErgoChair 2 vs Secretlab Titan different.
The best thing about the ErgoChair 2 in terms of customization is the seat tilt and headrest. You can go from sitting upright with good posture to leaning back for a quick 5-min break.
The design of the seat tilt here with the ErgoChair 2 is superior in every way.
Not only is it simpler to adjust, but it’s much simpler to engage the locking mechanism that keeps the tilt at your preferred angle.
There’s a lot to like about the multi-tilt mechanism on the SecretLab Titan. While the 165 degree maximum recline is fairly standard, the chair also supports seat tilt angle lock like in some other high end gaming chairs.
This means the angle of the seat as it points upwards can be locked in as well, not just the angle of the backrest.
Seat tilt angle lock is fabulous when you wish to work in a heavily reclined position, by angling your whole body – and not just your back – upwards, similar to in a zero gravity chair.
Seat comfort
The first and most important feature that an ergonomic chair should have is a comfortable seat and backrest.
If the seat is too hard, you will start to feel uncomfortable in no time, and if the seat is too soft, the cushion will compress over hours and you will start feeling the frame on your buttocks.
The molded cushion on Autonomous ErgoChair 2 is neither too soft, nor too hard; and as such, you can sit on it for a long period of time without aches around your waist region.
A lot has been written about the firmness of the seat and cushioning on the SecretLab Titan chairs. Some people love it, while others, not so much.
The seat on the SecretLab Titan is medium in terms of firmness, and certainly not hard to the point of possibly being uncomfortable.
In fact, from an ergonomic standpoint, a slightly firmer seat can help you maintain good posture easier than a mushy one.
Still, in the end, it does come down to personal preference to some extent.

Autonomous ErgoChair 2 reviews
Positive reviews
A review from Jessica Gibson: “Can’t rate this chair highly enough.”
This is by far the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. I totally LOVE this chair!!!! If I were to give any constructive criticism it would be purely aesthetic and given the alternative of an uncomfortable chair- who cares!!!! LOL That said, pick a color- it doesn’t make sense to have a light blue seat, cream arms and back of chair with grey making up everything else. It just looks silly.
Show more +Catherine: “Great posture.”
I got this for my boyfriend as his gaming chair and desk chair at home. He loves it and said it keeps his posture up. I tried it and I’m very short but it feels good to sit up and it definitely makes you sit up straight. He prefers it over his previous game chair and loves it.

Thomas Greenway: “Poor quality not worth it.”
This chair was ok at first did a lot of things I wanted however theres a ton of drawbacks. First the lumbar support didn’t move low enough to fit into the concave of my back which causes back pain from prolonged use. The seat tilt isn’t very configurable you’re either sitting in the seat or nearly sliding off it. The biggest issue ive noticed is the lock for the tilt of the back rest doesn’t support any weight at all I weigh around 150 – 170 lbs and used the chair reclined frequently and now the lock doesn’t work anymore causing it to constantly lean back leading to no back support. If you plan to use the reclining feature always unlock the tilt angle lock.
Show more +J. and J. Rudd: “This chair is awful.”
The back support was the only good part. If you are 200lbs or higher, the seat cushion is WORTHLESS, even though the weight restriction is 350 lbs. It flattens and becomes extremely uncomfortable within a few minutes of use. Also do not buy directly from the vendor. You get a 30 day trial but if you don’t save the packing materials, you get charged a BS restocking fee of 30%. If you want to brave it, buy through Amazon.

Positive reviews
Cory D.: “Great chair!”
Definitely a quality chair. Lots of adjustment options and can tell it’ll last.
Issue with shipping and although the customer care is polite and friendly they’re ultimately inept. Days between responses and there’s no way to talk to a rep. Frustrating experience but the chair is honestly great!
Dave H.: “Awesome Chair.”
So far I really love this chair between work and gaming, I spend a lot of my life sitting on this chair. It’s a bit hard at first, but works in and has helped my posture and helped relieve stress across my upper back.

Joshua C.: “Good – bit pricey for comfort level.”
Good quality chair that is comfy and an upgrade on my previous. However, it seems needlessly heavy, pricey, and is not as comfy as Herman Miller equivalents.
Show more +Chris J.: “Never received lumbar pillow.”
The chair is excellent, but I haven’t received my lumbar pillow, that was supposed to ship over a week ago.
