NeueChair Review Snapshot
Secretlab NeueChair
If you intend to invest a premium gaming chair for many years, don’t dismiss this ideal option. The NeueChair will improve your posture over time and allow you to experiment new ways of sitting that you might find comfortable, or to give yourself a little stretch.
NeueChair Review: What’s Special About Its Design?
One of the most outstanding aspects is definitely shown in this Neuechair review is its professional design.
According to NeueChair review from users, the NeueChair stands out visually not because of flashing RGB lighting or a large, garish logo unlike the majority of ‘gaming’ chairs but rather thanks to its modest industrial design.
Build Quality
In terms of its design, build quality is the noticeable factor you can’t dismiss. This is particularly vital if you’re a big and tall person, as the chair must be capable of supporting your weight.
The production quality also reflects how meticulous Secretlab has designed this office chair.
In the Neuechair review, we found it to be exceptionally well-built for the price. It has a strong metal and high-quality plastic frame.
It can remind you a lot of a Herman Miller Aeron, which is one of the best-built chairs on the market right now.
Minimal Color
The NeueChair exudes professionalism with a monochromatic color scheme that is dominated by black and complemented by the frame’s aluminum parts.
For a more all-black look, Secretlab also offers a variant with darker plated aluminum. It simply appears to be a serious-looking chair.
Mesh Upholstery
If there’s one feature of this Secretlab office chair worth emphasizing, it’s the mesh upholstery.
When you choose a mesh chair like Neuechair, you never know what you’re going to receive in terms of sitting comfort.
Indeed, mesh makes a huge difference compared to any upholstery and its small parts has interlaced to create pockets in between for breathable feeling.
Not only in the seating part, the seatback provides a breathable and supportive surface.
Meticulous Design
Looking far from this Neuechair, the vast sweep of the supporting chair contours enhances the appearance, and touches like the round accents along the wheelbase keep it from being merely, brutally mechanical.
The frame is made of ADC12 aluminum alloy which is a high-strength and lightweight metal that is subsequently coated for further durability in the obsidian form.
If you are confused about NeueChair vs Quantum Pro 9000, it’s understandable because both chairs are rock solid, with a heavy duty metal exoskeleton.
From that, it extends to the backrest to form one solid foundation.
NeueChair Review: How Can It Help You Improve Your Health?
This NeueChair review now turns our attention to ergonomics, adjustability and how it affect your health positively.
Ergonomic and Adjustability
If you are still confused about whether this chair from Secretlab is worth it, we believe this is an ergonomic office chair.
Thanks to the effective lumbar support, the chair is considerably more ergonomic than a common gaming chair. It will help you sit with better posture.
If you would like to relax in your chair, recline all the way with Secretlab NeueChair.
Moreover, when it comes to adjustability, the NeueChair does really well. There are more adjustment possibilities available on the NeueChair than on office chairs that cost twice as much.
This chair has seat pan, lumbar support, as well as a tilt and reclining mechanism with tension and locking mechanism, armrest height and angle adjustments, and other features.
Especially, you may fine-tune these adjustability on this Secretlab ergonomic chair to match your personalize demands.
This NeueChair review highly evaluates flexibility because when you need the adjustment levers will be easily accessible when seated.
Among them, the height adjustment and backrest tilt are the two most outstanding adjustment options.
These features are actuated by two hand levers located beneath each of the armrests, eliminating the need to reach beneath the chair.
Aside from that, when seated, you can modify the height and depth of the lumbar support by reaching for the controls on the chair’s side.
A little button on the left side of the seat allows the seat to glide forward with a little push, increasing the seat depth, and pressing it in while the seat is empty allows the seat to slide back.
Comfort
Let’s deep dive into this NeueChair review to discover how it bring to comfort:
Armrest
The armrests of this Secretlab office chair does a good job. The armrests are wrapped in a soft rubber substance that is pleasant to touch.
The feel is , but as some of Herman Miller’s and Steelcase’s higher-end ergonomic chairs.
When you compare NeueChair with Herman Miller vs Steelcase, this chair is not quite as excellent, but it can be comparable to most other gaming chairs on the market.
Anyway, this feature merely allows you to modify the height and rotation angle of the armrests.
Back Support
Depending on your own preferences, I believe the back comfort of this chair will be hit or miss. The positive comfy lumbar support against your back is the first thing you should notice in this chair.
Another feature in terms of back comfort is the chair’s superb recline and tilt lock function.
As mentioned in the adjustability of this NeueChair review, it’s ideal for those who wish to relax in their recliner.
Seat Comfort
One feature of this mesh chair that the NeueChair review appreciated is that the seat is relatively open.
The seat is cushioned around the circle to assist shape the mesh and provide a comfortable buffer between your legs and the chair’s rigid frame.
Headrest
About the headrest, this kind of feature is not included in the chair’s price. So why does this NeueChair review point it out?
In fact, in terms of the headrest, we found it to be quite good when compared to comparable mid-range office chairs with a headrest.
Hence, if you want the headrest, it’ll set you back an additional $100, putting the chair on par with other higher-end ergonomic office chairs.
NeueChair Review: Customer Reviews
Positive Review
Andrew E. reviewed 5 stars on Amazon “Durable, comfortable and stylish”
“I love this chair, the mesh is very comfortable and is cool to sit on. My previous office chair was leather and after several hours, I would become very hot – this chair never gets too hot.
It is very configurable to any position, and has great lumbar support.
I only have one complaint – the armrest adjustments feel very cheap and they are not intuitive (you have to pull the arm up manually and then to go back down, you have to pull it all the way to the top)
I am very satisfied with this purchase.”

“This chair really surprised me. I have had 5 back surgeries and suffer with chronic back nerve pain. I have tried many chairs ove the years with little success as it pertains to comfort.
Not only is the chair comfortable but I don’t have the typical pain I experience when sitting for extended periods of time. Just about everything is adjustable on the chair so the feature set is quite extensive.
I also purchased the head rest which was easy to insert and is also comfortable. I don’t think it is necessary but adds additional comfort.”

Alex shared his detail review on Amazon: “Sit on a barstool instead!!!”
I wish I found a review like this before purchasing the chair, I’m returning it after less than a week.
I’m 5’11/195-210lbs/athletic build, weight fluctuation is dependent of season (bulk/cut) but right now I’m 210. At work we have Steelcase Leap’s v1 & v2, and Herman Miller Aeron Classics. I was in the market for a chair for home use and am used to the comfort of the Leap and sitting for 7+ hour days straight.
I sometimes also like to fold my left leg across the chair with my ankle under my right knee. I don’t game, don’t watch/edit movies on my computer; I mostly am programming, messing with hackthebox, and penetration testing. Regardless if you’re a gamer, editor, or a programmer you’ll be sitting in a chair so that doesn’t matter.
I originally went with the NeueChair because I am not a fan of “bucket seat racing car” style chairs, it’s a gimmick. What is it supposed to keep you from flying out of your chair when you turn to sit up?
Nonsense. Also, the “built-in lumbar support”, lumbar pillow, or lack of any lumbar support is a turn off. That pretty much eliminates 80% of the chairs on the market today.
Which leads me with the NeueChair, Triiger, basic office chairs, or high-end expensive chairs. After lots of back and forth between the NeueChair and Triiger I pulled the triiiiger on the NeueChair.
The design is pretty much similar, the NeueChair had a nice discount (which I’m going to spend in shipping it back, return shipping is out of pocket) so I’d assume the flaws would be the same.
After all both chairs are designed off a similar chair found overseas, significantly cheaper too.
In Mike Wat’s almost 12-minute YouTube review of the NeueChair he is spot on with many things but doesn’t go in depth, you just don’t realize how flawed the chair is until you sit on it for 7+ hours…
…So, where does that leave me?
Like I said, I’m returning the chair. I found an office furniture liquidator in my city, basically they buy office furniture from places that’re going out of business or upgrading and sell it for stupid cheap.
I spent $600 on the NeueChair (full refund), with around $50 for return shipping. The liquidator has Seelcase Leap’s in v1 & v2 (v1 has the “domed” armrest, v2 is flat).
Granted they are ALL used, but they have an all-black v2 (built 5 years ago) no stains or tears for $200. Granted it is not the sexiest chair, however if you investigate the research and design of it, it’s the real deal. I already know this from sitting in one at work.
This is what I’m going with, if your used chair can’t be cleaned and looking almost new from a quick vacuum, and a damp cloth keep looking – don’t settle because better condition ones are out there.
From experience I have sat in a size B Aeron. I believe I need a size C; in the B the bottom of my shoulder blades are just about touching the top of the back rest. Just throwing that in here for anyone who is “B or C” range, find a seller and sit in one.
Show more +Guillermo: “Not comfortable. They don’t have free returns so expect to have to pay (20-30%) to return items”
Show more +Should You Buy The NeueChair Chair?
If you’re looking for an ergonomic office chair, the NeueChair is a great option to buy.
It is a sophisticated office chair which features a good build quality, superior mesh, and a lot of adjustment possibilities for a reasonable price.
In addition, it combines some of the features of a gaming chair with the ability to recline, making it an excellent all-around chair for most individuals.
Compared to SteelCase and other professional competitors, the Secret NeueChair is less expensive.
Closing, the NeueChair may be worth it if you value high-quality materials and the piece of mind that comes with a lifetime guarantee, but it won’t be a good fit for anyone who weighs more than 200 pounds.
